Green Juice
Green Juice (aka Green Lemonade) Juicer Detox Recipe
2 SERVINGS
BASIC RECIPE:
1 lime pealed (or lemon, organic if you prefer not to peel it) = This is your lemon!
2 green apples (Granny Smith or Gingergold, yellow apples as substitute) = This is your sugar!
2 cucumbers pealed = This is your water!
You never tasted a lemonade as great as this.
ADD:
5 to 6 stalks of celery
3 to 4 stalks of kale
You can also combine the basic recipe with 3 to 4 leaves of any other green leafy vegetable such as collard greens, green chard, green cabbage, spinach, fenugreek leaves (Ind. methi), romaine lettuce, all other types of lettuce, etc.
Keep the combination simple, up to two additional elements, not too many ingredients. Find your own favorite combination and let me know!
OPTIONAL:
1 cup of green grapes (morning) OR
1 slice of pineapple (morning) OR
1 tablespoons fresh ginger root (evening, if you like it, because it is very strong) OR
1 sweet green pepper (evening)
1/2 bunch parsley or cilantro leaves (evening, better in a blender)
Each day you can put another optional ingredient to create variety, they all taste differently.
Start with 12 ounces (350 ml) of green lemonade each day. Work your way up to two glasses, 24 ounces each day or more.
We drink it first thing in the morning, and before going to sleep (but it has to be 2 1/2-3 hours after dinner).
Consume separately from any food! You can eat 30 min AFTER drinking it.
If you are hungry make the same juice in a blender. You have to add 2 cups of filtered water. We make juices in the blender for lunch or dinner, because it is more filling. When we put a cucumber and apple in a blender, we peel them if they are not organic! Use your judgment.
